KERSTIN SCHROEDINGER

Kerstin Schrodinger studied Visual Communications in Hamburg and Aural and Visual Cultures in London and is currently a PhD candidate at the Centre of Research Architecture, Goldsmiths College, London. With a critical approximation to images, Schroedinger examines cultural practices through a process of appropriation and circumscription. Her work attempts to critically question image procduction and to produce images as a material of thought and reproduction. She has worked collaboratively with Mareike Bernien since 2006. With a historiographical practice she examines the ideological certainties of representation, means of production and historical continuity in the fields of motion picture, radio drama and music and text.
